Monsoon Notes
Three short poems written during the first rains, on memory, distance, and the sound of water.
First rain — the smell of earth remembered before it arrives.
A letter I never sent grows soft at the edges. Outside, the river learns its own name.
Far away, someone closes a window. The sound travels here anyway.
